Digital registration

You’ll need to complete the digital registration online. There are links in the confirmation email and the reminder email you received. You will be able to complete this 30 days before you arrive. Just so you know, information changes so you don't need to fill out too far in advance. The credit card holder as well as ALL GUEST staying in the treehouse. Unfortunately, the past has given us the need to make these requirements.

Upon providing a credit card you are authorizing payment from that card to Enchanted Forest Treehouse for charges listed on your receipt. Any chargebacks will be disputed and an additional $100.00 fee will be attached to your bill. Any collection fees charged by the card processor will be added as well, and you are authorizing payment of those charges.

No! No! No! Defacing the Trees! Immediate Expulsion!

Video of the treehouse and grounds are done between guests. If damage or theft occurs, you will be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There is a lot of valuable art, some irreplaceable, and sentimental. Please be respectful so everyone may have a unique experience and allow me to share my treasures without fear. Plus, you don’t want to “piss off the fairies,” draw attention from a wizard with a dragon friend, or inspire a curse from the Green Man! Missouri State Ordinance 569.1202343503 prohibits carving in the trees and violators will be prosecuted.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in time is 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm. If you are not able to be here at this time, prior arrangements must be arranged before the date of arrival! Failure to complete digital registration for ALL GUESTS will delay checking in. We will meet you at the treehouse to receive your keys, a full introduction to the treehouse, and answer any questions you may have. At the time of arrival, you will be asked to provide photo identification for each person. I will make copies of those ID cars and you will sign a paper form of the policies for my file. Refusal will cancel the reservation without a refund.

I will call you on the morning of your reservation. We can pick a time to meet that fits your schedule. If the treehouse is clean and ready I will let you know and you will have the option of arriving earlier.

Check-out time is 11 a.m.

Accommodations:

Enchanted Forest Treehouse has an assumed occupancy of 2 people. There is an extra $100.00 assessed for each additional person if arrangements are made in advance. Treetop space is limited. We have two recliner chairs available or floor space available for a twin-sized air mattress you bring with you. All extra linens can be provided with prior arrangements. Every guest on the property must be registered. Maximum occupancy is 4 people.

Our treehouse comes complete with electricity, heating and cooling, and real plumbing ( kitchenette, tub room, and a full bathroom). We provide linens and towels. Keurig hot beverage maker with coffee, apple cider, and hot chocolate can be found in the breakfast nook.

Food:

You are welcome to bring prepared foods and snacks to enjoy, as well as visit some of the local restaurants or call for takeout, or delivery. The treehouse has a convection/toaster oven, a microwave, a single cooktop burner, a refrigerator with an ice maker, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, and a Keurig beverage maker.

Breakfast packages are available to have it your way. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions when booking or arriving. All foods prepared in our home kitchen may contain allergens. If you have any dietary restrictions you are encouraged to bring and prepare your own food at the treehouse kitchen.

Smoking:

We are a non-smoking/non-vaping treehouse! Smoking is allowed ONLY OUTSIDE AT THE PAVILLION! . Ashtrays are provided only in the designated area for your use. Fire risk is severe!!!! Proper disposal of cigarette butts is mandatory and crucial to your safety! Immediate expulsion and application of a deep-cleaning fee of $200.00 will be assessed if this policy is not strictly adhered to.

Alcohol:

There are many fantastic wineries, breweries, and distilleries near the Union area. We expect you to visit them and sample them as desired. However, we also expect you to be sensible and reasonable with your consumption of alcohol. Overly drunken and/or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated, and your stay will be terminated immediately without a refund. This is for the safety of everyone.

If you arrive drunk or high you will be asked to leave. no refunds.

Pets:

Although we love them, we do not allow pets on the property.

Safety Policies:

Please make wise choices while exploring the grounds. Rocks are sharp and slippery! Do so at your own risk. Feel free to explore the forest, there are 7 acres of trees to get up close to. Hug a tree today.

There is no lifeguard on Duty. Swimming in the hot tub is at your own risk.

Children:

Children under the age of 21 are not allowed on the property. Adults may not reserve for their children under 21.

Cancellations

If the reservation is canceled seven or more days prior to your reservation date you will receive a full refund. If a reservation is canceled 3-6 days prior to your stay you will receive a 50% refund. If canceled 48 hours or less prior to your reservation you will forfeit any refund. Deposits are taken on the day of booking your reservation. Total bills are calculated day of checkout. Any balance left is due at check out. Deposits will be refunded at the time of cancellation or 24 hours after check out following the same refund guidelines. All refunds will be applied to the credit card on file. No cash refunds.

Damages

If damages are present, you will lose the Deposit of $350.00. You will be billed for the nights you stayed as well as for the replacement cost of those items damaged or missing. Additional charges for deep cleaning -$200.00 / loss of Deposit - 350.00 / cost of items damaged or missing/ legal fees / civil court fees will be applied if indicated.

If chargebacks occur or your credit cards are not valid, chargeback fees and delay of payment charges of $100.00 will be charged to the guests, as well as any legal fees incurred. As well as prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We will video between guests for everyone's safety. Security cameras are placed outside.

Liabilities:

The amenities and features of the property are used at your own risk. The hot tub and facilities are furnished solely for the convenience and pleasure of registered guests only. We will not be responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of property by theft, fire, accident, or act of God.

Hiking/outdoor

I own the treehouse lot, as well as the lot next to it, a total of 7 acres. It is a wooded undeveloped area that includes a couple of hillsides, the hollow, and a wet weather creek. Exploring is expected and encouraged at your own risk. Trees will shed limbs and fall. Insects will bite, and you are sure to encounter poison ivy! We do have poisonous snakes, copperheads, and water moccasins. All that being said I have spent countless hours in and around the treehouse without incident. It is beautiful out there! Go look, listen, hear, smell, and explore yourself! Books on Forest Bathing are in Vogue now. Google forest bathing(Shrinrin-yoku) before you come!

Security and Privacy

We have built the treehouse in a secluded little hollow in the forest. Noise from neighboring farms and a slight highway noise will be the only sound that invades the quiet of the forest. We are on a dead-end road so traffic in our area is minimal. The scenery changes dramatically with the seasons. Summer is a green cloak of leaves. Switching in the breeze. They make you feel enclosed in your own space and time. Winter boasts of views of pink and orange sunrises, stretching scenes of the Bourbeuse river bottom farm fields, and hillsides. You feel tucked in the branches, warm by the fire, looking out from above. We the owners, live at the top of the hill and are always available by phone. The Franklin County and Union Police departments are only 5 miles away in town. Security cameras are on the property. You will be the only guest on location and you will have the property to yourselves.

Forest Bathing

Forest bathing… Shrinrin-yoku (Japanese forest bathing) is a reconnection to the calm of the forest. Meditation and mindfulness teach us to do only one thing at a time with focus and taking the time needed to do it. decreases BP and cortisol levels, and depression.

Waldeinsamkeit - a cherished German Tradition to cure stress, and a spiritual connection through solitude in the forest.
